Allonnia is paving the way for sustainable transformation in the mining industry with our bio-solubilization process. Using proprietary selective solvents, developed in the Allonnia Labs, we target the dissolution of gangue mineralogies. Once removed, the beneficiated concentrate can be further processed as needed on site, while the remaining impurities may be removed and recycled while decreasing tails and slag volumes.

Gangue impurities (soluble aluminum, silicon, calcium, and/or magnesium) can be utilized as feedstocks in other industries, depending on purity, or in the case of magnesium and calcium, the impurities can be mineralized to sequester CO2.

Allonnia generates its bio-solvents from a mixture of living organisms. We physically separate them from the bio-solvents and utilize it to dissolve gangue in a standard agitating leach test.

Over the course of a few hours, selective gangue minerals breakdown and dissolve into solution, increasing the grade of the remaining solids which are recovered with a simple filter. We measure the effectiveness by XRF and ICP in order to complete the mass balance and further tune the bio-solvent to improve selectivity.
