More metal
from the mines the US already has

Industrial biology that helps secure domestic supply chains for copper, nickel, and the critical minerals that electrification, AI, and defense depend on.
Bolt-on. Deployed at mine scale. Proven in production.

First commercial pilot completed at Eagle Mine

The only active nickel mine in North America

LOOKING FOR SAFF®?

Nature solved selective mineral separation billions of years ago.
We industrialized it.

A platform refined across five years of laboratory, pilot, and field work — now being deployed at commercial mine sites.

Discover

The biology already exists. We find it.

Allonnia screens microbes and biomolecules found in the extreme conditions of real mine environments that are highly specialized to interact with metals and minerals to survive. Our library of over 1,000 microbes from all over the world provides candidates for screening we’ve done across dozens of real-world ore concentrates, with proven applications for copper, nickel, and rare earths.

Engineer

We turn that biology into something a mine can use.

Discovering an effective microbe, protein, or other biomolecule is the start. Producing it consistently, at industrial volume, in a form that performs in the messy conditions of a real mine flowsheet, that’s the work. Allonnia Biosolutions™ are produced through standard fermentation in existing infrastructure, delivered to site, where it is recycled, and reused after each treatment cycle.

Deploy

We install in mines alongside existing equipment.

Biology that stays in the lab doesn’t help anyone. Allonnia’s systems bolt onto the existing flowsheet using familiar hardware, no new mine, no new plant, no risk to production. We have successfully completed a commercial scale pilot at a North American mine.

You know where the metal is.
The question is how to get more of it out.

Every operator knows the reality: ore grades are dropping, impurities are climbing, and the easy tonnes are gone. Yet demand for what you produce has never been higher. The immediate path forward isn’t another billion-dollar greenfield or a longer permitting cycle: it’s getting more from the deposit you already have.

The answer, it turns out, has been living in the rock the whole time. Nature is constantly refining biology that selectively interacts with specific minerals. Allonnia is the team that takes that biology out of the petri dish, and scales it through industrial fermentation, so it can be deployed at the mine site. Bolted onto your existing flowsheet. Running in months, not years.

THE SUPPLY GAP

We cannot build new mines fast enough. And the ore in existing mines is getting harder to use.

We’re closing the gap by extracting more from the mines the world already has.

THE PLATFORM

The metal hides in two places.
We go after both.

Some of it is locked inside the ore you already mine — held back by impurities that conventional processing can’t selectively remove. Some of it sits in the waste streams nobody has economically tapped: coal ash, tailings, acid mine drainage. Allonnia has developed distinct biology for each — and built the industrial capability that takes it from the petri dish to the mine site.

D-Solve

The first industrial biology system operating inside a working mill

Allonnia D-Solve™ is a bolt-on technology that selectively removes the impurities limiting grade and recovery from concentrate — using microbes that evolved to do this work in nature, now engineered for the production environment. The hardware is familiar. The biology is not. The result is more sellable metal per tonne of ore you are already processing.

RE-Cover

Turning waste and liability into value

Acid mine drainage, coal ash, tailings. Waste streams that today are liabilities, not assets. Allonnia RE-Cover turns those wastes into resources for rare earths – using engineered proteins that selectively and repeatedly adsorb valuable metals from waste streams, then release them in concentrated form upon elution. Modular, low-capex, deployable per site.
